Designs

An “industrial design” is a novel design that in itself is non-functional but is part of a functional manufactured article. The industrial design can be protected for a non-extendable term of 15 years. The industrial design must be a new or original look in relation to the features of shape, configuration, pattern, aesthetic, composition of lines or colors or combinations of the above, applied to any article by an industrial process or means, and that is a feature that appeals to or is judged solely by the eye, a feature which gives a new appearance to the article but does not improve the function of the article.
